A snug, cosy cottage in the Whanganui River Valley, Kohu Cottage is a weatherboard building over 100 years old.

The cottage sleeps up to four people. It has a basic kitchen and an inviting woodfire for those chilly riverside nights.

A great place to stay to explore the area, with bush walks where the native flora and fauna flourish. All the attractions of the Whanganui National Park are on your doorstep, including the mail bus run, canoeing and jet boating .

Furthermore, it is located adjacent to a museum and historic Koroniti Marae.

There's also a local potter whose crafts will impress.

The drive from Whanganui to Korotini is 45km and takes about one hour.
